Abby Morris

Focused. Fierce. Rising

Junior Rider

Location

Franktown, CO

Abby has been winning in the Pony Hunter and Jumper rings for five years—ever since she climbed on for her first lesson at eight years old and decided she wanted to fly. What started as curiosity turned serious during COVID, when intensive private lessons fast-tracked her into the show ring. Just three months later, she made her competitive debut in Princeton, New Jersey.
Her breakout moment came at the Saratoga WIB Spectacular, where she was named Best Junior Rider on a Pony and won the Non-Pro 2’3”/2’6” Derby aboard Silver Wishes. That momentum carried her straight to Pony Finals, where she finished Top 20 Overall in the Small Pony Division and earned 3rd place in the Marshall & Sterling Pony Medal Finals.
Soon after, Abby partnered with her palomino medium pony City of Stars—better known as Biscuit. She debuted him in California at Desert International Horse Park and capped off his green year by winning the Model at Pony Finals and confidently stepping into the Rolex ring. In 2025, Biscuit was named USHJA Zone 8 Best Medium Pony and Colorado Hunter Jumper Association Best Medium Pony. At his first Pony Finals as a rated pony, he won the Model, placed 4th Under Saddle, and entered day two sitting first overall. Abby closed out a strong indoor season with top-10 finishes at Capital Challenge and Harrisburg.
Her pony years have been all heart and hard work—training Biscuit into a nationally top-20 pony has been the most rewarding chapter of her riding so far. Now, Abby is stepping into what’s next. She’s begun her equitation career aboard ChillMan, leading a competitive field to win two Equitation Division Championships at Desert Holiday at DIHP. Junior Hunters are next on the horizon.
Abby trains at Snowfield Farm in Parker, Colorado, under the guidance of Laurie Juneman and Marisa Metzger. Her long-term goals are clear: keep climbing through the junior ranks and compete at the Division I collegiate level.
