Haley Honegger
Fearless. Gritty. All-In.
Junior Rider
Location
Ocala, Florida
Haley Honegger shows up ready—and she means business. A nationally recognized junior jumper rider at just 14, Haley rides with confidence, grit, and a work ethic that doesn’t clock out. Jumpers are her home base, but eventing, dressage, barrel racing, team penning, foxhunting, and rodeo are all part of the mix. Versatility isn’t extra credit—it’s expected.
Based at her family’s Millbrook Equestrian in Ocala, Florida, Haley trains daily under the guidance of her mom and professional trainer, Alexia Honegger, with support from top professionals across disciplines. Homeschooled and focused, she balances academics, full horse care, and a packed show schedule without cutting corners. If there’s work to be done, Haley’s already on it.
Her partnership with Holsteiner mare Wilde Hilde proves that comebacks are earned. After surviving a life-threatening hoof puncture and a diagnosis of myofibrillar myopathy (MFM)—a condition that ends many sport-horse careers—Wilde Hilde returned to top-level competition. With patience, precision, and Haley’s relentless dedication, the pair didn’t just come back—they climbed the podium, earning individual silver and team bronze at the 2023 FEI North American Youth Championships.
Since then, Haley and Wilde Hilde have stepped boldly into the junior jumper ranks, tackling 1.30-meter junior jumper and small grand prix classes. In 2025, they’re headed back to NAYC in the pre-junior division—focused, fired up, and not there to blend into the background.
Haley was also named one of the first-ever recipients of the USET Foundation Performance Pathway Jumping Grant, a newly launched honor recognizing standout young jumping athletes nationwide. Chosen as one of just three riders to represent their zones at NAYC, Haley earned support to help cover the very real costs of competing at the highest level—because results like these don’t happen by accident.
Off the course, Haley stays hands-on. She handles her own feeding, grooming, wrapping, conditioning, and rehab—because great rides start long before the buzzer. She also helps fund her competition career by training and reselling ponies purchased at auction. Hustle? Checked.
Known for her no-nonsense work ethic, steady confidence, and signature good-luck feathers woven into her hair, Haley has her sights set on the upper levels of show jumping and one day running her own barn. Whether she’s in a championship ring, rolling through a parade, or chasing cattle, Haley Honegger brings heart, grit, and just enough edge to keep things interesting.
